El álbum debut de Desumanos es una refrescante mezcla de melodías lideradas por el sonido de la guitarra y filtradas a través del tamiz del surf instrumental pero sin perder sus raíces ancladas en los sonidos tropicales.

Liminha, antiguo componente de Os Mutantes, junto con Kassin, una de las figuras más destacadas del panorama musical de Brasil de los últimos años y colaborador -entre otros- del DJ británico Gilles Peterson, acompañados de un miembro de la banda de David Byrne y de Manoel Cordeiro, uno de los precursores de la lambada, crean este proyecto instrumental.

Desumanos´ fresh mixture of guitar driven melodies is as evocative as it is playful. From their native Brazil, the band casts uncompromising surf scents on a handful of songs that also drop in the mix African rhythms, cumbia and lambada.

This instrumental project is made up of a dream-team of producers and musicians: Kassin (bass), who was member of The +2´s and co-produced Gilles Peterson’s Brazilian project Sonzeira, and former Os Mutantes member Liminha (guitar), as well as Felipe and Manoel Cordeiro (guitar), one of the lambada originators, and Stephane San Juan (drums), currently playing with David Byrne.
