"Salsa Bestial" is the international presentation of Puerto Rico's Orquesta el Macabeo. Formed in 2008, the veteran backgrounds in punk, rock, hardcore, ska and reggae of its 12 members have joined in a celebration and irresistible new take on salsa gorda or heavy salsa. Those varied influences have allowed them to reach not only the traditional salsa fan but also a wider public interested in a more diverse style within a genre which can at times seem reluctant to try new formulas.
For the last four years the orquesta has played all over Puerto Rico, and their thrilling shows and honest and straightforward approach to their sound and lyrics have gathered support across all kinds of audiences. Vampisoul is very proud to release this collection of tracks from their two self-released albums ("Salsa macabra" and "El entierro") plus a new, exclusive recording.

“Salsa bestial” es la presentación internacional de la formación salsera portorriqueña Orquesta el Macabeo. Desde 2008, la experiencia previa de sus doce miembros en grupos de punk, rock, hardcore, ska y reggae ha dado como fruto un irresistible nuevo enfoque sobre la salsa gorda. Tal variado pedigrí les ha permitido llegar no solo a los seguidores de la salsa tradicional sino también a una audiencia más amplia interesada en un estilo más diverso dentro de un género a veces reacio a probar nuevas fórmulas.
Han tocado por todo Puerto Rico y su sonido accesible, entrega en directo y la cotidianidad de sus letras han conseguido el apoyo incondicional de todo tipo de público. Es un honor para Vampisoul presentar esta colección de temas de sus dos discos autoeditados (“Salsa macabra” y “El entierro”) junto a un tema nuevo y exclusivo.
